Thalidomide & The One-Armed Mongoloids

Based in Chappaqua, NY, this trio of subversive Mensa punks were known to play 32 songs in a 40 minute set, some as brief as 8 seconds. Influenced by Captain Beefheart, the Residents, The Birthday Party, The Bonzo Dog Band and David Cassidy, no cow was too sacred and no cover song too legendary to be completely eviscerated by their sonic manglings. Gigging only occasionally in NYC in the mid 80s, their recorded output comprised just two cassette releases (Vaginal Blood Fart, and Marvin Gaye: A Father's Day Salute!) on the odi cassette label, and an unreleased set of studio tracks. We have compiled them all for you here in one volume for your listening displeasure. Ped Xing - vocals, bass Thalidomide Downloads |
